The Kamehameha Schools Education Support Services (ESS) division attended a retreat this past Tuesday – Thursday. It was held at the St. Stephen’s Diocesan Center in Kailua.
There were about a hundred of us at the retreat. Highlights included a talk by Nainoa Thompson, meals by Cinnamon’s Restaurant, karaoke provided by our AV/Sound department, and a full day at the Kalama Beach Club. We even rented a shave ice truck!! Everyone had a fantastic time!
Congratulations Alan! That’s the same prize I chose when I got my 5 years. I keep my Niihau shells in the box. I too feel totally blessed to be at KS even if I grumble. Kapalama was my home for 13 years while I was going to school and I would love to teach there, but I love it here and I’m still doing Pauahi’s work.
