Is the 808 state “representing” in 2008? It kinda looks like it. It started back in January when the undefeated UH football team, led by Heisman finalist Colt Brennan, were BCS busters. Then we were well represented in the Olympic Games, followed by the Little League World Series title. Maui-born Shane Victorino recently helped the Philadelphia Phillies to the World Series championship.

Now this. Our next president will be a Punahou graduate. Hawai’i is finally on the map. We’re not just grass shacks and spam musubi anymore. Even Wheel of Fortune will be taping here! This is a really cool year for us!
