….”The Hurt Locker.” Huh?

Since moving to 909 last year, I’ve become somewhat of a moviegoer. I’m literally 1 minute away from the Ward Entertainment Complex. We usually get together with a small group of friends. Our Friday night ritual usually consists of dinner at Buca di Beppo (order the pizza, not the pasta,) a movie, and then Starbucks for a late night cup of Pike Place™ coffee. Topics of conversation almost always seem to include Brett Favre….

We were able to take in some pretty good movies in ’09 like “The Blind Side,” “Sherlock Holmes,” “Star Trek,” “The Proposal,” “Inglourious Basterds,” “Surrogates,” “The Soloist,” and everyone’s favorite “Avatar.”

Let me now preface this post by mentioning that “Casablanca,” “The Sound of Music,” and “The Wizard of Oz” are among my all-time favorite movies (so that you won’t think too lowly of me….)

My pick for Best Picture of 2009?
