Today is December 26th. Time for another New Year’s Resolution. And like everyone else, my New Year’s Resolution will be the same as last year’s. In fact, mine will be the same as the past three years. Now I’ve tried to keep it simple by having only one goal (lose weight so that i can surf again.) This time, I need a plan….
No, this isn’t the plan. This is the roast from last night’s Christmas party. But the way I look at it, it’s motivation. Call it my “training table” if you will. Yes, I’ve put on a few pounds during this holiday season. Now I’m inspired to do something….
Yes, I would love to get into surfing again. But in order to do that, I need to fit into my board shorts. Here’s the plan:
1. Eat smarter. Diets don’t work. I just need to use common sense. I actually enjoy eating fresh food (as opposed to processed food) anyway, so this shouldn’t be a problem. I just need to cut-out the junk.
2. Exercise regularly. It’s unrealistic for me to join the UFC Gym in Kaka’ako. There’s no time. But, I have 24-hour access to a gym downstairs in my own building. I’ve only been in there once (to shoot a video.) I’m paying for it through my maintenance fee, so I’d better take advantage.
I moved to my present location to be near to the beach. Yet, I’ve been to Ala Mo’s only a few times in the past two years. I gotta get down there after work. It’s too convenient not to.
So that’s it. Good luck to you on your resolution. Remember, “Eddie Would Go….”
Hau’oli Makahiki Hou & God Bless!
