Took a walk this morning to Ala Moana Beach Park to check out the 96th annual King Kamehameha Celebration Floral Parade. Our school participates in it each year. In fact, I used to serve on our school’s parade committee for two years.
Our marching band and cheerleaders always take part. It was great seeing the students there! This year we were also represented by faculty and alumni, because it’s our school’s 125th year anniversary.
A highlight for me was shaking hands with Dr. Chun, our retiring headmaster and today’s parade grand marshal. Mahalo.
On my walk home, I picked up huli huli chicken from Stanley’s in the Marukai parking lot. It was another great morning in Hawai’i….
