Today marked the inaugural EdCamp Honolulu. It was held at the Sullivan Center for Innovation and Leadership at ‘Iolani School. It was an amazing event (or non-event) to take part in! The planning team did an awesome job!
Here’s @elliemellie greeting the 100+ participants from around the state.
Not a bad view for an EdCamp I would say….
In an EdCamp (or in an unconference setting,) there is no set agenda, keynotes, or presenters. The participants come up with the topics, pursue their interests, and collaborate with like-minded colleagues. Many great ideas have spawned from these “think tanks” including this very EdCamp.

Learned a lot and was inspired by my many colleagues-partners-friends. Also had a blast giving away raffle prizes at the closing.
The event (I mean non-event) was an amazing success! Looking forward to next year!
