….has a new CD release.

I actually got to hang out at his house in Sunset Beach once when he helped out with our middle school video festival. He was one of our celebrity judges. He was a film maker before he became a famous recording artist. He was very gracious and down-to-earth. His band members came by to pick him up to go surfing. He asked me to lock up on the way out.

Kamehameha defeated Punahou 1-0 in regulation tonight in the 2008 state girls soccer championship game. KS scored early in the second half and played outstanding defense the rest of the way. They maintained pressure on Punahou with an aggressive, attacking style offense to close out the game. This is Kamehameha’s 3rd state title in a row.

I was able to go onto the field and get this picture during the post-game celebration. Chicken skin….

My Favorite Quote:

“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won’t feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It’s not just in some of us; it’s in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.”
